By the grill…

The Grill is The perfect place to unwind with friends, have a beer, and enjoy the craft of cooking.

One thing that inspires this blog is the gratification of cooking while spending time with family and friends. Nothing beats an evening on the deck grilling and enjoying a delicious meal together.

Those meals that our friends rave about make it here to the blog. Hopefully their favorites will become your favorites.

We are not professional chefs, we just love to cook. Primarily, I love to cook over charcoal, wood and I recently purchased my first Blackstone griddle.

We hope you will try our recipes that we share.

What we are cooking on:

Weber Kettle Grill

My go-to favorite grill is my Weber Kettle Grill. About a year ago Amy bought me a Weber lil Smokey grill for the beach. We grilled out on it the first time with charcoal and hickory wood chips… the flavor was delicious. It had been years since I cooked over charcoal. Later the following month she bought me the 22″ Weber Master Touch Kettle grill for my birthday. The meals we have cooked over it have inspired this blog.

Blackstone 28″ Griddle

A recent purchase was the Blackstone 28″ Griddle. I will be cooking and sharing a lot of videos from the Blackstone. This is one of the most efficient and convenient grills to have around. From breakfast to hibachi, to sandwiches, and about anything you can think of, the Blackstone is awesome.

Weber Genesis 3 Burner Gas Grill

My Weber Genesis is nearly twenty years old! I love it and highly recommend the three burners because it will certainly get hot enough to sear a nice filet. The flavor off of the gas grill is excellent and cooking on gas is certainly quick for some hot dogs and other small cooks when you are in a hurry.

Shot on iPhone

One thing I have decided to do with this blog is to shoot all photography and video with my iPhone. Currently using the iPhone 13 Pro Max and so far I have been very happy with the results. The capabilities of the phone far exceed the need. At the end of the day when I go to optimize the posts for SEO, I am reducing the image size so much it doesn’t matter that I didn’t use my DSLR… or it doesn’t seem to yet.
