Description
Truly delicious but simple turkey chili recipe that just so happens to be incredibly easy to make. This recipe packs lots of flavors and makes about 12 cups to feed a large gathering or the family with leftovers to spare.
Ingredients
1 lb. ground turkey
1 yellow onion chopped
1 green pepper chopped
2 cloves garlic chopped
2 T. A-1 steak sauce
1 McCormick’s original CHILI season packet
1 32oz. box of Hunt’s tomato sauce
1 can Rotel
1 27oz. can Bush’s chili beans (undrained)
1 15.5oz. can dark red kidney beans (drained)
1tsp. coriander
1tsp. oregano
1tsp. Tajin (chili lime seasoning)
1tsp. smoked paprika
Instructions
Saute all vegetables in a Dutch oven for 1 minute then add ground turkey.
Cook with vegetables over medium heat until almost browned.
Add A-1 seasoning and dry Chili packet. Add tomato sauce, Rotel, and beans.
Add all dry seasoning and stir well.
Decrease the heat to low and cover and cook for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Notes
Once Chili is done. Here are our favorite toppings: green onions, shredded pepper jack cheese or sharp cheddar, sour cream, and your favorite hot sauce! My family will add crackers but if you’re watching the CARBS like I am, Folio cheese cut into triangles and baked on parchment paper and cooked on 400F for 7 minutes makes an awesome “chip”!
